Sowing City Soil highlights the urban farming sites in Oakland, California. While it certainly does not cover all the cultivated soil in the city – for example, there are over 50 private backyard gardens that are not included – the map focuses upon those organizations most active in spreading the practice of urban agriculture within Oakland.
